LIST_LINE problem

Hi,

I've a problem with the LIST_LINE function.

Why is this working:

FIND ALL Job
DISPLAY MESSAGE LIST_LINE (Job,'','','JobTitle')

and this is not working:

DISPLAY MESSAGE LIST_LINE('FIND ALL Job','ORDER BY Job.JobTitle ASC','/','/','JobTitle')

I tried all combinations and followed the manual. De logging says nothing but Action Succesfull performed.

Seems to me that there is a bug here?

Have you tried ` instead of ' ?

I tried:

DISPLAY MESSAGE LIST_LINE('FIND ALL Job ORDER BY Job.JobTitle ASC','','/','/','JobTitle')

DISPLAY MESSAGE LIST_LINE(FIND ALL Job ORDER BY Job.JobTitle ASC,``,/,/,JobTitle)

Same result: nothing...

The LIST_LINE function syntax calls for 4 parameters and you are using 5.

What do you want the out to look like?

The documentation says 5 params:

Identifier of the list or a string identifying the query (either Rule Language string or the name of the existing query).
If the list identifier is used the second parameter may optionally indicate ordering of the list
Delimiter to be used between attributes of a member.
Delimiter to be used between members.
Attribute names to be printed out. The name of the attribute to print out may be optionally followed by the print format (the name of the attribute and the format must be separated by comma). If format is not specified the default attribute format will be used.

<<LIST_LINE(‘FIND ALL Child’,,‘ ‘,’,’,‘FirstName’, ‘LastName’, ‘Age,#’)>>

Ahh .. now we're making progress. I had an older version beginning a conversion to V8. That doc did not show the 2nd parameter with optional sorting.

Did you ever resolve this problem. I'm observing the same issue where it does not seem possible to apply an ORDER BY to a FIND in LIST_LINE()
