Not sure if anyone else has a similar requirement, but I have a need to be able to call a JasperReport, send parameters, and have the output sent to a PDF file on the server, then email that document to a customer.
So, I wrote a Node REST Server , and am calling it from Aware passing the report parameters and the email info.
The rest server, runs the report, pipes it to an OS file, then calls node-mailer and sends the attachment.
Now, I still have not figured out why I can not get parameters sent via JSON (so using URL params)
I don't know how to get a response when the file has been created, so I just have the email logic wait 2 seconds before attempting to send the email
But, otherwise, all is working FINE.
Happy to share what I have learned with anyone interested.
