As a newbie to AwareIM I thought I might introduce myself.
I'm a UK based Database Developer with a background of providing MS SQL and MS Access database services to small businesses, but acutely aware that I have not been able to provide web access to clients data. So AwareIM is a great tool to expand my offering. Prior to that I had 8 years as a Commercial Analyst and SQL DBA / Developer for a small publishing company, and 20 years in academia working on Chemistry and Engineering with lots of modelling in Fortran and various other languages.
I've been introduced to AwareIM by an existing user who I am currently helping to build SQL queries to generate reports and then integrate those into AwareIM with parameter capture, expansion of rows etc.
Its as big a learning curve moving to AwareIM BO and Rule based logic as it was moving from traditional Row-By-Row programming to set based operation in SQL, but the value in speed and clarity looks to make the effort well worthwhile.
I've already found the forum really helpful - big thanks to all who put time in to answering stuff - I aspire to eventually know enough to contribute back.
