Thanks, Henrik for this answer. 🙂
Good initiative, this has been tried before though. I built a Devnet solution with wiki and a lot of other stuff a couple of years ago but the interest from the community was little so I shut it down again.
I am nearly sure this kind of topics cannot engage lots of people inside the community.
For instance, it could interest people using AIM as a production tool for customers. Then, they have to set up, backup and secure a solution for these customers. And quite often, they will have to deal with APIs.
Lots of other people, very probably, are in a different use case.
But a group of five to ten people highly motivated people would be great, to begin with. Of course, everyone else could have access to the results or participate. And everything would be, of course, free of charge.
Instead of building something new, talk to Mark (eagles9999) and see if you can add this stuff to his community site instead? There is definitely a need for something like this so either way (using Mark's solution or something else) it would be a good thing.
Already done. See https://forum.awareim.com/d/10408>
I am not too much interested in providing services, training or animation to the community. So, with Mark, we don't have exactly the same goals. I am ready to help, if I can, of course. But my main goal is to provide my customers with a professional package built on AIM. And my opinion is that a small group, working frequently together can sometimes go deeper on particular topics than a whole community on a very broad range of topics. Steve Job's point of view: never a meeting with more than six people! Lol
I will keep in touch with you if we reach five people interested! 🙂
