I'm having a brain fart...

In this simple rule, I discovered that it WAS being executed TWICE - which is why I had to add the additional condition (in Blue).
Now, once it gets assigned a Date, it won't execute a 2nd time.
I actually noticed this because I called the Increment process. The counter was getting bumped twice. So after examining the lengthy Logs, I saw it calling the process twice. Adding the condition in Blue resolved that.
But there's other places where I can see many rules getting executed more than once.
I can't imagine a new user catching this.
Its no different than a simple rule that says IF USER IS NEW, SEND AN EMAIL.
2 Emails would get sent (as an example). But that doesn't happen in the demo Apps.
So, the Q is... do I have something structured wrong in my Update RULES, or have others had to put in place controls so things don't double execute (or do many people not even notice).
