Creating String from Integer Returns decimals at the end

I have a ClientID attribute, defined as Plain Text.

I create the field with the following:
AS_STRING(YEAR(CURRENT_DATE))+'-'+AS_STRING(SystemSettings.NextClientID)

NextClientID is defined as a Number, with the default format of 'Number represents integer' selected.

This works fine, except for one small issue. The string it returns looks like this:

2018-50001.0

Where is that '.0' coming from?

Shouldn't an Integer converted to a string just return the actual number, without decimals?

Never mind.

It only shows up that way until the record is actually created. Then it shows up like it should, without the decimals.

Not sure why, but it works for me.
