How to prevent a child record from being deleted?

In AwareIM when i delete parent all child records related to this parent will be deleted automatically, how to prevent parent deletion if there are child records related to it?

There is an option on the object "When Object Is Deleted"
Insert a rule there on the Parent object that checks for child objects. The rule will run every time a Delete attempt is used
