I am taking several tables from an existing system and combining them into one BO. In the existing system a person could be entered into each one of multiple tables, ie Agencies, Attorneys, CaseAssistants, Investigators, Judges, Prosecutors, etc...
One of the attributes I have defined in the new BO is called 'Roles', which is set to allow Multiples and linked to the mfParticipantRoles BO.
When I import those tables I would like to specify what its 'Role' value will be.
For example, I have an Agencies table. When I copy that table into my 'Participants' BO I know I want its Role to be 'Agency', which is an instance of my mfParticipantRoles BO.
I have a process that reads from the Agencies BO and creates a new record in my Participants BO, assigning the appropriate attributes from Agencies to Participants.
No problem so far.
But how do a tell the process that I want my Participants.Roles attribute to be whatever the ID is for Agency in the mfParticipants BO?
The reason Participants.Roles is set to allow multiple values is that each Participant could have multiple Roles in the system. They could be any or all of the following: Agency, Attorney, Case Assistant, Judge, Prosecutor, Investigator.
Does any of that make sense?
