Script to remove sorting icon

Is there an initialization script or a render script to remove the sort icon / column from the column header of a V6 query?

See screen shot below. Trying to save all the screen real estate possible by removing the unneeded sort icon from a bunch of columns.

thinking about it... but can't get my head around it.
1) is that kendo in v6?
2) You could hide the icon just like we hid the extra [ x ] in 8.1 just using css
3) You could also turn off Sortable if thats what you also mean - as opposed to just removing the icon

Yes, I would like to turn off sortable on this entire query.

Can you provide the script?

JT showed me some things... but I don't know if you can turn off sortable just for one column.
pretty sure I can turn it off for that particular grid, via script.

ahh, v6 was still Sencha. (I forget, it was so long ago).
I have no access to, and no idea about the Sencha stuff. Sorry. Wish I could help.
