Hi all,
I have a problem which I haven't managed to solve and can't find an answer in the forum.
I have a parent BO and a child BO. One of the attributes of the child BO is a Yes/No. I want only one of the child records for each parent to have a 'Yes" attribute. So if a user enters a new child with a 'Yes', or changes any existing child record to 'Yes', I want all the other child objects to be changed to 'No'. My fallback position if I can't achieve this is an error message when you try and enter more than one 'Yes'.
I've tried several approaches with rules and processes with no joy so far.
My latest effort is to call a process from the parent which does something like this:
FIND Child WHERE Child IN Parent.pm_Children AND Child.BooleanAttr='Yes' AND Child.ID <> Child.ID <-as in the ID of the current child object.
Then pass the found set (if any) off to another process to set the result to 'No'.
I'm inputting the correct objects (at least I think I am) into the processes.
Has anyone done something similar and care to share how they did it?
Cheers, Andrew
