Aware and SQL Webinar - Tuesday

So, at the most excellent Aware User Group meeting (thank you again Mark for all the hard work to make this the best damn user conference EVER!), I gave a presentation on SQL and Aware and being MOST talented, I messed up the recording! All conf. attendies get recordings of all of the presentations, so I am going to redo it and hopefully press the RIGHT buttons to record it.

My plan is to redo the presentation this coming Tuesday, April 16th, around 8AM EST. Since it will be a webinar I didn't know if there is any interest in watching it live (and/or asking questions.) So if you are interested, please let me know before Tuesday!

If you don't want to install the desktop version, use Chrome browser, as their plugin works like a desktop app and allows you to setup Audio & Video.

Could you please cover, how Aware can successfully and seamlessly perform full CRUD to external MSSQL DB that is created by other apps, like an ASP.Net? Especially for Aware to recognize the relationships (via foreign keys that were created by host platform) so we can access the children in Aware.
At least, a path or instruction how we should do it in Aware.

Bruce, thanks for this presentation, I can see you are definitely a SQL junkie . 🙂 Being able to leverage AIM with stored procedures in the way you are doing it is a game changer. I wonder if Vlad can find a way to store the contents of a Stored procedure inside AwareIM, so when publishing an app, it can create the stored procedure in the database in the same way as it automatically creates the attributes and indexes. ( So, create the SQL in a suitable editor and then copy and paste into a stored procedure section in AIM )

The trick now is to learn SQL, or maybe send you the puzzle for conversion to SQL. BTW, are you open to this kind of bounty request ?
