Initialise time in timestamp field

Hi Friends,

Can you suggest me how do I initialize time in timestamp field?
The issue I have is as I have set the timestamp field editable on the query, client is finding difficulty in setting first the date then click on clock icon to set time.

yes, having to click that clock is annoying, but you have to have a time for appointments.

1) you can use an Initial Value of CURRENT_TIMESTAMP in the BO
2) On an Appointment, I set the END_TIME = to 60 minutes after the START_TIME... this way the user doesn't have to mess with it and it will work for the Calendar.

Its in an Update Rule that has to be checked DYNAMIC.

if Appointment.StartTime WAS CHANGED THEN Appointment.EndTime=TIME_ADD(Appointment.StartTime,1)

Thanks for responding Jaymer.

While the user is using inline edits for adding a timestamp, can we invoke a rule to update this field as current_timestamp?
While creating BO, this field can't be initialized as current_timestamp as its getting synced and created from the external accounting system.
