Utilizing dual monitors

Hi,
I am using two monitors and noticed that modeless windows can't be dragged to my 2nd monitor.
Why not?

Because modal less window resides inside browser not on Windows os..

The application that I'm developing relies on 2 screens these days.

If your environment allows you to stretch the underlying browser window across 2 monitors you can move the modal less windows between the monitors. I’ve observed this working on both Windows and Mac based browsers. You may need to change some settings in your OS to allow this. For example in MAC OS X 1.9 and above you need to tick “Displays have separate spaces”in System Settings > Mission Control

Thanks Union.
But I'm not understanding.
Most of us in our trade use Windows.
We also use two displays, where I can drag the mouse across the two but I can also plant any program or windows dialog, etc. on either screen.
After all these years I would have figured that this was doable 🙂

Ok, you have caught me out. I do develop on a Mac computer. But my client uses windows and I have observed them stretching a single browser window (ie IE or Chrome) over dual monitors. You are still restricted to the underlying browser window when you drag your modeless windows, but when that browser window is stretched across multiple monitors then the modeless windows can also be displayed on the different monitors.

I am not sure if this requires special settings on Windows. I am not in front of their computers for a few weeks but I can check their particular setup then if you need.
