How to Automatic get this Image d/l and load into server FS?

How can I get this downloaded to the Aware server and inserted into a BO?
I cannot make a user do this manually.

Seems like instead of downloading it "behind the scenes" (if thats even possible using Aware) on the client, and then uploading to the server, I'd rather have the server (a big server hosted somewhere) grab the image and put it on the filesystem where I can just point to it.

any ideas?

But I want that to be done server-side.

High level:

Scheduled Task (6:00am)
Process scheduled to background mode.
Call CURL to retrieve the file
Run process to get file listing and process into a BO.

How will AwareIM get the URLs for the images to download and store in BO? Will they be entered somewhere?

1) the URL for the image is coming from a Curl/REST request. Lets say I enter a stock symbol, and I want to grab the company logo. I have a API I can send the stock symbol to, and one of the data is a URL to the logo image.

2) I was just informed that I don't actually have to download the image onto our server (or the client PC). I just want to display the image inside an Aware screen - similar to how the CRM demo displays headshots when looking at a contact.

I wrote a quick web_fetch function to collect the file and injected the file into a BO.

It's indeed possible with a java plugin.

If you just need the URL to display to the user (assuming cross reference publishing is ok by the source site), then would it not be just a simple html call with an <IMG> tag?

YES is was just that simple.
Just an HTML cell with

<img src="<<Lead.PictureURL>>" >
