I’m working with a complex BO that has multiple routes through a wizard form based on prior selections.
A very simple example being
If Contact is a person show only person related fields (given name, family name etc)else if a Contact is a company show only company fields (company name, registered number etc).
So far so straightforward.
When using mandatory fields if the field isn’t completed then you cannot move to the next page of the wizard. But, because the fields mandatory state is conditional on prior choices I am having to rely on final validation at the end of the form at the point of saving.
Is there a smart method that I can use to impede the user from moving to the next page if fields on the current page of the wizard have to be completed? My users are complaining that they have to go back many pages to fill in their missing fields. (Alternatively is there a way to bring that page and field back into focus?)
