Can't get query re-ordering to work

Hi,

I have a query that I'd like to have reordering. I have turned on "Re-ordering" and chosen a process that takes a record of the query type and just does a display message for now. But I can't get it even to switch icons to show dragging, and the message is never displayed.

Version 8.0 on a Mac.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Doesn't work for me either. Note that I was trying to repurpose that feature for my own needs, but it shouldn't have mattered. I wanted to drag/drop to update the "Status" attribute, so my process looked like this.

That[BO].Status=This[BO].Status

It wouldn't have been a perfect solution because there would always need to be at least one existing record with the "drop" status in order to function as I would want. But I can't get the records to drag at all, which suggests it's a bug.

I thought that maybe the problem was that I was grouping by status, but I tried clearing that and it didn't help. I also tried clearing record sorting - didn't help either. Just can't grab a record in order to drag it.

Support? Two of us are having the same problem. Are we doing something wrong? Is this a bug?

We have had this issue before.

Would be great to have a FIND switch that pulls data into context in the desired order. Maybe a Switch?.... ORDER STRICT

This should be fixed in build 2375. Note: reordering is not supported for queries with inline editing

Doesn't work for me, Mac client. Do I need to upgrade the server as well?

If by Mac client you mean the Configuration Tool, then yes, you need to update the server

I can't get it to update the status attribute when grouping is applied. Admittedly this is not what reordering was intended for. My process looks like this and has CycleComponent as the input:

ThatCycleComponent.Component.Status=ThisCycleComponent.sc_ComponentStatus

Depending on my dexterity, the log either says:

Value was not changed  because it was equal to the old value Status=In Development

-Unable to find business objects to modify attribute SolutionComponent.Status

When I clear grouping , it works, but then I don't have a solution for managing the backlog.
