Question on using MATCHES()

Hi.

I am trying to check if a filename contains apostrophe or comma using the rule below but it does not seem to work.

If MATCHES(FILE_NAME(Object.UploadedPhoto),'[,']')='Yes' Then ...

I tried the regex in an online regex tester and it can look for matches. Is there something wrong with the way I use MATCHES()?

I haven't used MATCHES before, but you could try this:

If FILE_NAME(Object.UploadedPhoto) CONTAINS ' OR FILE_NAME(Object.UploadedPhoto) CONTAINS ',' THEN

I think your issue might be around this: '[,']'

If you want to include a ' in rules you normally put it in instead of ' '

When I use MATCHES, I try to match the entire text. Change your regex to:
^.*[,'].*$

While on the topic of MATCHES.... can anyone tell me how to use this to check that an attribute has only numbers (no special chars, not letters etc.), and specifically to check it has 10 digits?

I'm trying to check the cell phone number is clean before calling Twilio, have tried everything and can't get it working.

IF MATCHES(BO.Attr. '^[0-9]+$') = 'Yes' Then BO.Attr is a number with 1 or more digits

IF MATCHES(BO.Attr. '^[0-9]{10}$') = 'Yes' Then BO.Attr is a number with exactly 10 digits

I do not know about Australia, but North American phone numbers have some restrictions on what digits are used for the Area Code and Exchange. If you really wanted to get fancy, you could modify the regular expression to include those restrictions.
