Q: When the zone is clicked... how do I capture that event?
A: In a process rule:
LoggedInRegularUser.Selected_Zone=Zone
Be sure that Zone is listed in as a process input.
Bruce told me once that almost always when he has a button on a Query, instead of it running something directly (using the builtin pulldowns) he calls a process to save some value(s) in LIRU, then continues. That way you can alway store the Cust#, or Order#, or whatever to use in the future.
So, if you're going to click on a Zone record in a Zone query...
instead of (Edit) button doing an Edit Object, it starts a process passing Zone and stores info in LIRU, then it can EDIT zone USING xxx, OR
instead of (Account) button Running Query "Show Account", it starts a process passing Zone and stores info in LIRU, then runs the Account query or brings up the Account form.
