Need suggestions to implement barcode in AwareIm

Hi Friends,

I have a requirement to implement bar code reading in an application. I checked in forum about it and got this information :
'You just need a special True Type font that represents bar codes for this.'

Can you suggest me how do I implement this ?

Install the Barcode font on your machine where the configurator is installed
In the Configurator install new Barcode Font
(here is a free barcode font download "Free 3 of 9 extended regular barcode font" - search Google )

Example using Customer.ID as the barcode in a report

In the report insert the attribute Customer.ID , set the font to the newly installed barcode font and in the Element properties text section insert this:
'' + Customer.ID + '' instead of <<Customer.ID>> - - Thats it , your barcode will now appear

Is it mobile app or desktop/browser app, and how is the barcode reader setup?
If its mobile does the device have its own barcode reader built in? or a peripheral device?

Usually a barcode reader just puts the data into the keyboard buffer, so all you actually need to do is provide a field on screen, then when cursor/focus is on the field, and the barcode is scanned the data will go into the field.

Gets a bit more complicated sometimes with devices and barcode scanners being built in, but generally there isn't much that needs doing in my experience...
