In a MS Word document you can use
<<Object.Attribute>>
in the text of the document to inject attribute data into the document when it's EXPORTED and the Object is in context and it works beautifully (thanks Mr Simkin).
In a Report document you can also prompt the user to manually add text as the document is exported with the following form of tag (with { } around the prompting text)
<<{Hey user type the text you want added here}>>
I tried to use the above in a MS Word User Defined Document but it did not work. Error message is
Internal error. Invalid tag expression {Hey user type the text you want added here} in document Sample Merge
Is there a <<Object.Attribute>> tag you can add to a MS Word User Defined Document that will prompt the user ?
